Church Services

Our Sunday Church service and Sunday school convene at the same time: 10 a.m.

A Christian Science service is similar to other congregational and protestant church services: there is a sermon, hymns, a solo, and time for prayer. It is a joyful time to hear the Word and praise God.

However, you’ll notice that Christian Science churches don’t have a personal pastor. Instead our impersonal Pastor is two books: the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The weekly Bible Lesson-sermon, or Bible lesson, is comprised of citations from the Bible and Science and Health and is read by two lay readers on Sundays. This Bible lesson is actually made available to the public in The Christian Science Quarterly so it can be read and studied during the week before it is heard in church.

Wednesday Testimonial meetings, at 7:30 p.m., are an opportunity to come together and share, or find out, how Christian Science is being practiced by your peers. This service also offers readings from the Bible and Science and Health, hymns, and time for prayer.

All are welcome and we hope to see you soon!
